Saint Patrick’s Day is March 17th every year.  I put together a blog round up of cultural information and recipes for a home-based celebration for families with young children: 


National Geographic Kids has cultural information that includes dying the Chicago River green in addition to holding a parade.: 

 (I loved going to the parade when I lived in Chicago after graduating from the University of Chicago.  I worked downtown where the parade was held and called myself Ruth O’Pennington on that day.)
