Scenes of Sonoma Artist Reception in Santa Rosa on November 6, 2026 reposted by Ruth Paget

Our family owns a collage by artist Marsha Connell.  Her paintings are part of the Scenes of Sonoma Gallery Reception on November 6, 2026.

Information about the reception follows:

I learned about Marsha Connell at a reception hosted by Jennifer Colby in San Juan Bautista, California.

Maybe come back to San Juan Bautista for a show?  Hint.  Hint.

I wrote a blog about Marsha Connell’s reception and talk at Jennifer Colby’s Gallery in San Juan Bautista, California:

$2.49 for Ruffles Potato Chips (8 oz) Bag from Nob Hill in Salinas, California reposted by Ruth Paget

I received a digital coupon for Raley’s Nob Hill members for Ruffles Potato Chips at $2.49 for an 8-ounce bag at Nob Hill in Salinas, California.

There is a limit of 4 bags per customer at that price.

Potato chips are excellent for game night, picnics,  and as munchies while Thanksgiving turkey bakes.

You can sign up for the Raley’s Nob Hill app online or in the store.

Have fun grocery shopping!

Cultural History of Pie reposted by Ruth Paget

David Faries of the Monterey County Weekly wrote a great little cultural history of pie and another story on drip coffee.

As someone who grew up in the American Midwest, I learned that in a pinch a slice of pie and coffee is a dessert and a supper option.  I have even eaten mince pie at Christmas; my Wisconsin family loves its English heritage.

Pie lovers can enjoy some history with their pie in the Weekly article below:
