My weekly digital ad from Raley’s Nob Hill in Salinas, California calls what I call clementines in French “Mandarins.”
The Cuties brand mandarins are a good deal for all the Vitamin C, an antioxidant, in them.
The mandarins are on sale to Raley’s Nob Hill members for $3.99 for a 2-pound bag.
You can sign up to be a store member online or in the store.
A nice and inexpensive winter salad can be made with the following ingredients:
-mandarins
-apples
-pears
-bananas
-raisins that have been rehydrated in hot water or tea
-lemon juice
I call this salad a cold fighter.
